...since my last post. I have moved house and am now settling into my new place. I like it - I'm now actually living on an island, even though there are bridges and I don't have to take a boat or a ferry to get anywhere (I could, though - in the summer!). I really like living closer to nature, and it's much more peaceful here.
I've also cast some more of my bjd porcelain girls in the last few weeks, and I am now cleaning and firing them. I'd almost forgotten how exhausting the whole casting/cleaning process was, but so rewarding and fun!
Another thing I tried casting was an earwig pendant that I sculpted some months ago but never got around to making moulds from until now. It was very interesting working on something other than dolls - and I would like to experiment on making more jewellery-type things in the future.
Today I left three of these at a silversmiths to get them fitted with little silver loops for hanging them on chains.

Here are two of my dolls relaxing in their new sofa after having been a part of an exhibition/show at my school last week - which was also my last week of school.
On the opening night of the exhibition I took a look into the small room where I displayed my things and discovered it had been taken over by a gang of children! Alright, there were three of them. And they were taking turns kissing my dolls! They were very solemn, one of them announced who could kiss a doll and which doll they could kiss.
So strange. The children stayed in there for some time (hours?), and when a girl from my class wandered into my little doll-room, they cried "Oh no - a human!"
I think I'm now in a state of shock after having finished school - but I'm also very relieved to be out of there. I spent 4,5 years at that school, enough is enough!!!I have to fend formyself now - in the real world...! Maybe I'll see you there!
:)
